A bed is the largest single piece of furniture in most houses, and the one that has to be carried up a staircase and through a door. Ours are made to order and made to come apart: the frame bolts together, so it can be taken in and assembled in the room.
The panelled bed is the plainest form, with a solid headboard and a low foot. The half-tester carries a canopy over the head end only. The four-poster is the full form, with four turned or carved posts and a tester above — handsome in a room with the ceiling height to take it, and worth measuring for carefully before you commit.
All are made in solid oak, cherry, mahogany or walnut, to any mattress size including sizes that are not standard. If the bed is going into a room with existing furniture, we can match the timber and the polish to what is already there.
Delivery and fitting are quoted separately, because every house, staircase and room is different.
