Chairs are made in oak, and only in oak. That is not a limitation we apologise for: oak has the short-grain strength a chair needs where the leg meets the seat and the back meets the rail, and it is the timber these forms were designed around.
The Windsor is the classic turned and splat-back country chair, built up from a solid seat. The ladder-back is the plainer form with horizontal rails, lighter to look at and to lift. A carver is the same chair with arms, made a little wider to sit at the head of the table. Settles and benches take the place of chairs down one side of a table, and gain you seats without gaining legs to trip over.
All are made to order and finished to match a table if you are ordering both. If you want chairs to sit with an existing table, send us photographs and measurements and we will match the height and the polish.
